I can't answer for NEC - I haven't been through NEC in quite awhile.
The Polyphaser lighting protection book had recommended that ground
rods should be spaced about twice the rod length apart.

What does the NEC have to say about the number of ground rods used in a
single
point grounding system where the building is surrrounded by a ground wire?
Is
there a required minimum and maximum spacing between the ground rods? Is
there a
required depth the perimeter wire is to be buried?

Tnx es 73,
