I originally had a 68 foot Rohn45 tower, with a KT-34XA at the top plate and a
40-2CD at the top of 10 feet of mast. This was a bear to work on, with having
to remove the rotor and winch down the mast to work on the 40. I changed it
around by cutting down the mast, adding another 10' section, and now I have the
XA at the top plate (78-80 feet) and the 40-2CD on a swinging gate mount at 70
feet. Besides the obvious mechanical advantages, at these heights I figured
from terrain analysis that it gained at least 1 db on three bands (10-20) while
costing less than 1 db on one band (40).

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
