Things have been working fairly well although not all the antennas are
up yet...actually a long way to go.

A few evenings back I worked some stations on six. Last night I fire up
and selected 40 meters only to find the band was deader than the
proverbial door nail. No...I worked a few on the AV640 dummy load. (it
was stuck by lightning) At any rate, tonight I checked the remote
switch on both 75 and 40 (nothing) Then I checked the wiring, and coax
out to the tower. Looked good, but visual doesn't mean a lot and
besides the one switch would select the AV640, but neither on the other
worked. Sooo... I jumpered the feed line to the 40 meter sloper around
the remote coax and I had signal with the proper settings on the tuner.
That pretty well nails it down to the remote switch or a connection
providing power to it. The control has power, and the proper LEDs light
so it's either the control cable, connection to the remote, or the
remote switch itself. I hope to get home early enough tomorrow night
(well tonight by looking at the clock) to check out the remote
switch/relays.

It sure is nice to be able to check this out without having to climb a
100 feet.
