I found out last year that you need to look close at the rotor to identify
one.. I bought my rotor 4 years ago from someone who said and the markings
confirmed it was a early Ham3. After it died last summer I sent it to Norm
and he called me back and said I had actually a late Ham IV inside the
casing. So he remarked the casing to indicate what it actually was..

...and I believe the rotor may be a newer Hy-Gain Ham 4, being that it has 
the short pigtail control cable interface with the taped up eight pin Jones 
plug.
