Just one step further, Larry. The Heath unit has ramp up and ramp down with
adjustable times for this feature and reverses your tailtwister before it turns
to release the torque on the rotor before turning your antenna! LCD readout
and many many more features than any other rotor controller out there. No
reason why you can’t use usb port to your computer as well. Take a look at the
review and you understand why it is much more useful than the others on the
market. Matter of fact, it was hy-gain that asked heathkit to develop the unit
for their rotators! But at the time, apparently the market wasn’t there for
this device and heath dropped it after a few years The hy gain unit is twice
the money now! Isn’t that interesting! Van, K7VS

Thanks Van

I have the Green Heron controller. I use it because of the ramp-up and
ramp-down feature, no torque on the tower and the new R21 has usb interface.

Larry, you might want to google the item mentioned in the subject line. It is
reviewed on eham and received a 5 of 5. It works not only with the ham m and
tail twister series but other rotors as well. It also works with almost all
logging and contest programs and uses a rs-232 interface. You can also update
the dxcc countries and add to the list already provided. It is a very nice
unit and has some features not found on the hy-gain dcu unit (which I sold!).
Have been using mine for many years now. In fact have another one still in the
box, unused here. Van, K7VS
