Gary,

I am doing the same type of installation.

In the past I had 4 sections (3 straight & 1 Top) of Rohn 25G bracketed (@
12') to my house.  It was up for over 10 years with 3 element monoband yagis on
10, 15 & 20M and a ringo ranger on top.  Never had a problem.

Last Friday I poured the concrete (about 1.5sq yds) for the first tower at my
new QTH.  This will be a Rohn 45G but will be the same height bracketed with a
Rohn bracket.  Only plan on putting up moderate size VHF (50,144,222, & 432MHz)
antennas on this one.

Subject: [TowerTalk] 45G freestanding
I may put up a Rhon 45G but prefer free standing with bracket to house at
8-10 feet and mounted in adequate cement.  What level would be safe - 3
sections be ok?
Is there a formula?
