[TowerTalk] Open wire protection devices?

I've got an ICE open wire line protection unit with the little glass gas
filled protection devices inside. They're soldered in place.

I was looking at the AlphaDelta units which have their gas filled devices
built into threaded plugs. Has anyone adapted these to OWL use?

Alternative solutions welcomed.
