maybe just use a real compass, lots cheaper than dropping an i-thingy off a
tower! personally i just line up antenna booms based on known directions of
either guy wires or some convenient object in the distance.

Would have to insure the iPhone and App were not affected by being close to
the aluminum boom or the tower.
