I would consider both of these tower sections to be good candidates for the 
base section to be buried in concrete. Personally, I wouldn't use them anywhere 
else. I cannot recall a bent diagonal but I have seen plenty of bent steps 
where a jack has been used to separate tower sections- more so on 25 than 45.
