I constructed towers for about 20 years. We never lubricated any sections,
rather,
we let the Galvinizing serve as a natural lubricant.
Another thing to remember is (other than the mess) if you lubricate the
sections you
probably will have a lousy electrical bond... something you don't want if you
are gonna
load the tower as a vertical. (might also cause noise on RX)
