I am interest in the current state of available ring rotors (RR) for
Rohn 45. I will probably purchase one soon. It will only need to handle
about 12 sq feet. But I am interested in the different options.

I didn't find a lot of detailed comments doing a web search about the
K0XG RR. A few pictures/comments of guys with 40m 4el yagis, etc on the
ring. The lack of online complaints and the look of the ring would leave
one to believe it is heavy duty and dependable???? But it does come with
a heavy duty price tag. This likely would be total overkill for my
application but I'll probably never sell it and who knows what future
uses it might have.

There are lots of comments about the TIC online as the early ones
seem to have a lot of problems. I own the original TIC 1022 (not 1022D).
The one where a heavy antenna on the opposite side of the ring from the
motor caused the ring to disengage from the motor gear. :-( How well
does the current line of TIC RR work?? What size antennas are being used
successfully with the new TIC RR?? The TIC is about half the price of
the K0XG.

I know Prosistel just came out with a RR but it's kind of early in
the process. It appears to be same price class as the K0XG. Also not
sure if it is available without the control box as I have an extra Green
Heron and plan to slave it with a second Green Heron.

Any info/thoughts on the subject appreciated.

73, Jay K0GU
