Why not cut a piece of PE(cutting board) or Plexiglass to fit the top of the tower They will give a smooth, slippery, abrasion free surface to just lay the coax on.

Has anyone in this group tried three quarter inch type NM non-metallic liquid-tight
conduit to protect the RG-213 rotor loop from abrasion when the RG-213 is tied to one
leg of the tower and then wound around the mast so as to tighten or untighten one half
turn of the two turns laid on the tower bearing plate? Three quarter inch liquid-tight
conduit easily allows the RG-213 with PL-259 to pass making future replacement of the
liquid-tight conduit if necessary, easy. I’m getting ready to try liquid-tight
conduit as protection of the rotor loop and appreciate any observations or comments.
