Most of the bodies have a slight shoulder. If yous does, make sure you
are not trying to crimp on it.
Also make sure no part of the crimper is hitting the body to prevent it
from closing.
I have about 1/16th inch space between the crimper and the body(large
diameter portion) of the PL-259
I leave a "tiny" gap between the end of the crimp sleeve as well, with
braid showing
