One thing I've noticed about the companies selling the #31 ferrite cores is 
that the pictures shown in their on-line catalogs appear to be showing a tall, 
slender core, which looks like the ones that are used on PC video monitors, 
etc. - just maybe big enough for one coax cable to go through.  The ones in 
Jim's presentations look like they're short, wide cores, that about 4 turns of 
RG-8 sized coax can go through. Are the catalog suppliers just using some 
"Generic" core picture in their listing? The two types don't look similar at 
all in the pictures. I've been hesitant to order any until I see cores that 
look like the ones in Jim's articles.
