I have seen commercial tower painters at work: the ones I saw started at the
top, had rather large buckets of paint and huge fleece-like mittens which they
used as paint brushes. Just stuck both hands in the bucket (after tying off)
and ran their hands up and down the tower legs, braces and everything attached
thereto. Needles to say, by the time they get to the ground they are
splattered red and white.
