I removed the short aluminum tubes and replaced with longer (I think inch36
inch) steel ones. In anticipation of running high power I replaced the shelves
at the top of the tower section with replacements I made out of 3/4 inch
Delrin. Now I think I will use the trap and wire 160 kit anyway so I can't
report on the effectiveness of the shelves. I picked up the antenna incomplete
at a flea market and never put any stubs on it other than the 40 meter tip.
Hope to get the 160 kit up on it in a few weeks.
