To some degree this is true but I am not sure that you can have optimum
spacing for that big of a frequency range and still maintain a constant
impedance. It would be nice to see a model.

As pointed out by W4TV when you can vary the element lengths the spacing
is less of a concern. The boom is the limiting factor and this is true
with any multiband antenna.
