There is a common factor in every example cited in this thread -- the link between sensor and readout is UHF RADIO, and the sensor has no external wires to act as antennas. If the designer has done a decent job with layout of the printed circuit board so that it does not contain antennas, there's nothing to act as an RX antenna for our transmitted signals, and nothing to act as a TX antenna for noise.

When there is RFI to or from equipment, it is nearly always the improper termination of the shields of external wiring that radiates trash and receives RFI. This mechanism was first identified by hams working in pro audio, and is known as The Pin One Problem.
