A big difference is that after being exposed to air, the silver oxide
is a conductor whereas the oxide from regular solder is not. Might make a
difference in your ground system or other similar applications.

## If you are using teflon / silver plated coax like RG-393, and 7-16 DIN
connectors, and its an application that has to handle a lot of heat and
power /current, use silver solder. 393 coax has two silver plated braids
and also silver plated strands for the center conductor. Ditto with baluns
made from 393 coax.
