Hi Bill,

Assume you have the model with LED indicators which includes additional
diodes CR3 through CR8 - I was unable to locate a CR2 so assume that tag was
skipped. The three diodes on the meter board should be CR3, 4, & 5. They
are part of the LED indicator circuit (CR6, 7, & 8 are the LEDs) and are
powered by the 24 VAC transformer that supplies to motor & brake solenoid.
Although they are located on the same board, they are neither part of, nor
are they connected to, the 12 VDC meter circuit which is powered via the
separate meter transformer. BTW, resistors R5,6, & 7 are also part of that
same 24 VAC LED indicator circuit.

If this describes your circuit board, then you should be able to find a
circuit diagram on the Hygain site under the T2X Tail Twister model. I
know this controller was supplied with some tail twisters, but I am not well
versed enough to know if it was provided with the HAM IV as well. In
either case, they are interchangeable.

Hope this information is helpful to you.

I have problems with the meter on my ham 4. The schematic in the manual and
on the Hy-Gain website leaves a little to be desired. My meter circuit pc
board has 5 total diodes on it. CR1 and VR1 are defined as to what they are.
The 3 diodes on the top of the board are not shown on the schematic or say
anywhere what they are. I believe they are IN4008's.
Can anyone verify if I am right or not. I wrote to Hy-Gain and got a hand
drawing added on the original schematic but it only added 2 diodes and never
labeled what they were. They need to update their schematic.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
