I've driven through TX and OK days after wild land fires have gone 
through. They are fueled by very low brush and grass where there may be 
few if any trees. Wild fires in western forests are not always fueled by 
grass (although they may be spread by grass between gaps in the forest), 
but by lots of brush and smaller trees in the range of 10-60 ft.
