My previous HF antenna system was HB 2" ladder line connected to a 275W
Match Box and exiting the flat shack roof thru 2 behive feed feed thru
insulators. Once outside the ladder line headed for a 1/2wl 80 80m. Worked
fine for years.

It has been suggested that I eliminate the roof feed thru unsulators and run
7-8 feet coax, thru a side wall to outside or eliminate the MBox and run the
coax directly to a 4:i balun outside. and then to ladder line to the
antenna.. Running coax or 2 wall mounted insulators will allow me to avoid
puncturing the new roof over the shack

What would you do? Stay the way it was, which performed nicely, or use coax
to get outside to a balun and then HB ladder line.

Thanks, joe k7mks
