I used this exact procedure and it worked well.  I had 4 runs of LMR-400-DB and 
one of 1/2 inch heliax in 4" conduit.

    Yes, you would. Had a customer who did that very  thing that resulted 
in that particular run of cable was there permanently with  no chance of 
swapping it out.
