I had Telrex antennas up for many years. Once, I saw some large bird sitting on 
the the boom of the 15 meter antenna at 85 feet.  I looked again and noticed 
that the talons went all the was around the 3.5 inch boom.  I tiptoed around, 
hoping I wouldn’t make the bird angry!
