When I did it with a similar arrangement, I had them 10’ apart. But what was 
key was having them perpendicular to one another

My Steppir had the 30/40m add-on and I was able to compare the two.  The 2 ele 
40m made the difference between copy and no copy. About 1-2 S Units better
