That’s why you shouldn’t use it outdoors.  Braid used indoors is fine, of 
course.  I use a #6 ring terminal to attach 1/2” braid, and they work fine.  
Use the rusty crimping tool in the bottom of your toolbox, lol.

FWIW, I use 3/4" copper pipe run along the back edge of my operating desk, with 
silver soldered joints.  Individual pieces of gear are connected to it with #2 
wire, ring terminals, and internal toothed lock washers to ensure good 
connections.
