Thanks for the tip, Dan. Unfortunately, I can't get the HFANT utility to
accept the data from the HFTASweep files. I get either complaints about
improper antenna name format or invalid character in field. I've done
considerable fooling around with the data files and can't figure out
what the problem is. I can copy the new data and paste it over the data
in one of the sample files and it gives me an error, but doesn't
directly say where it is. I haven't taken the time to check all 32,760
entries in the data file to see what (possibly non-printing) character
is causing the upset. It sure would be nice if I could find a spec for
the exact data table format, but no luck there looking through the
documentation. Guess I'm stuck with Excel.

As an alternative to DIY Excel plotting, and if you are willing to
download and install the ITS HF Propagation package (

program called HFANT that can display azimuth and elevation patterns
