There is a thing called a post popper for manually removing T-posts from the ground. It should do a good job too.

Drill a 1/4in hole in the top of the ground rod perpendicular to its length. Feed a loop of 
wire through it and use a high lift jack to “jack” it out of the ground. Works 
every time.
