european vhf contest

The last weekend were the VHF IARU contest and I tried to configure
TR 5.78 for this contest. I had problems with the grid squares:

It seems that TR only accepts 4 characters Grids like JN36. What we
always use are grid squares with 6 characters like JN36MO.
A typical report is "599 001 JN36MO" and the points calculation is
simply the total of distances between our home grid square and the others. 

Do I miss something or is this feature not (yet) implemented ?
