Hi Tree, Jan, Chris, all

I sent you an email on 27/798 about the IOTA scoring.

The RSGB Contesting Guide has just been published
in the October Radcom.

The Rules of IOTA have been changed,
IOTA Rule 7(a) for 1999 now reads.

"7. Scoring.
(a) QSO Points
Each contact with an IOTA island counts 15 points.
Other contacts count 3 points, including contacts
with the entrant's own country and IOTA reference."

This means that TR needs to know MY IOTA and
MY COUNTRY and the logic is ....

IF received IOTA is not = MY IOTA and received
COUNTRY is not = MY COUNTRY THEN score = 15

   ELSE score = 3

I read the rule to mean that IOTA islands are only
worth 15 points if they are a different DXCC country so
e.g., Scilly Isles are EU011 but are only worth 3 points
to G stations.

Does any one interpret this differently?
