Here is my "statement" concerning a windows version:

1. It would be a neat challenge.
2. It probably could be done.
3. A company I used to work for spent a lot of money tyring to do
real time control of things in windows and mostly gave up.
4. I was never a super programmer - and have never programmed much of
anything under windows (I have never used visual basic for example).
5. TR Log is a passion - and that doesn't pay the bills.
6. I have three daughters - age 4, 6 and 8. If I had to start from scratch
with TR log, I wouldn't get to it for another 14 years.
7. I ask other people for help when my Windows computer acts up.

and finally...

8. Writing a windows version of TR (or any other program) will be like
starting from scratch. Very little of the code could be reused and
ALL of the operator interface stuff would have to be redone - even to
just make it look the same as it does today.

I understand CT is getting close to a windows version. For those who
put that high on the list of critical features, check it out.

Perhaps I will write a new logging program for the next leap in
operating system technology. I was kind of hoping OS2 would take
off. If I ever do something with Windows - it would first happen
with POST since that isn't a real time program and is much better
suited to it. I actually have a compiler that would work well
and lets me use PASCAL still (Delphi). However, I haven't reached
critical mass on the learning curve yet.
