While messing around with floppy saves, I noted that paddles attached to
the parallel port still work, even if keyboard functions don't. I guess
the parallel port is on a higher-priority IRQ than the floppy
controller. Anyway, that's a good "out" to keep running if you feel you
*must* do your backups to a separate drive.
