I'll be terse to keep from adding any speculative information...73, Ward

The usual and the usual

No

Yes, but only from the MS-DOS prompt within Win98. I don't know what
IRQ's. But I had other problems with the parallel ports when running TR
in that Windows mode, so I didn't pursue it.

When first installed, the PCI card mapped itself to COM 5/6 because I'd
had an old, defective ISA card previously. I removed the COM 3/4 ports
and then reset the PCI card, all using the Win System/Device Manager
controls. It then came up as COM 3/4, but TR didn't recognize it from the
Command Mode because I didn't have the correct DOS drivers installed.

They're PCI, alright. Cost about $50. I'm at work, or I'd go look up the
mfr. for you.

The bottom line is that I run TR from the Command Mode only and everything
seems to work. Running it from within a Win98 MS-DOS window gave me fits
with the parallel ports. By the way, my system uses the ASUS MA-99 (I
think) motherboard, in case that makes a difference.
