But it WILL freeze if you give it 58 A 54 stx, because it has no way of
distinguishing the QSO number and the check.  I found the simplest solution
was just to run the QSO number and precedence together every time, because
then you can change the things that are likely to change from the memorized
data -- the check and section.

Was anyone else surprised by the number of checks from last year that
changed this year?  I even had W1AW as 36 last year, and it came through
this year as 38.  My impression is that the number of changes was much,
much higher than would be explained by my error rate last year, which was
fairly low.

Incidentally, the latest TR worked flawlessly for me for 1143 QSOs.  Not a
single instance of getting in the wrong mode, now that I can disable escape
for changing to CQ mode, and no other problems.  This was running in a DOS
window under Win98SE, and memory never got below 110K, even with MCP in use.
