What the heck did you end up doing? Private mail back will be fine.

u're a dupe" message. What I want to do is send the dupe message first but
then, if the station insists I'm not in his log, to complete a QSO. Any way
to do that short of changing the config parameter back and forth in real t
ime (many keystrokes)?
Just work the dupe.

Don;t know exactly, but control characters show up as funny things. The manual
has SOME words about this I think.

n in so-called "full screen" mode, it only occupies about a third of the sc
reen area with black all around. I suspect real DOS would help, but I won't
be able to find a DOS boot disk that works with my IBM 600 laptop between
now and Sprint. (There was recent advice to hit F8 repeatedly while booting
Win98 to force it into a calmer form of DOS. I'll try that tonight when I
get home.)
With a laptop you sometimes need to invoke the 'expanded display' to get a
full screen. The High pel density display does not compensate to give you a
FULL screen with the normal DOS font. Look for this option as a "PS2" command
in DOS. Once you get the expanded display enabled (it won't effect windows
running, so it is safe to enable), you might want to run 'FONT V1.06' program
to get a more readable font.
