You should carefully check for the line baudrate:
TR defaults to 4800 bps.
(while you can set to a lower speed, TR cannot go beyond that value).
PACKET PORT = SERIAL nn (your com port number)
EIGHT BIT PACKET PORT = TRUE
PACKET BAUD RATE = 4800 (or 2400, or 1200, but not higher)
If your PK232 is set for 9600, then you have to slow down it to 4800.
