Yes Tim, this is a problem. We have to contend with this during our
Sweepstakes Multi/Ops. It is very difficult for the operators to get the
contacts logged quickly sometimes when CQ-ing, but the "mult station"
should be able to minimize the time needed to issue a new number since
he will already have the exchange info entered before giving out his
number.
Regardless, problems will happen with this, and I wonder if the contest
sponsor wouldn't mind the M/S stations maintaining separate serial
numbers per band. Have you posed this question to them yet? This would
be the best solution.
