[TRLog] Band QSYs when tuning too fast

Subject: [TRLog] Band QSYs when tuning too fast

Used TRLog for the first time "under fire" at K1EA for the NAQP SSB.
I liked it, in general, but had one very troubling problem that distracted
me and wasted a lot of time.

Setup:
TRLog 6.58
Radio 1: IC-781 (interface @ 9600 baud)
Radio 2: IC-781 (interface @ 9600 baud)
DOS 6.22, plenty of free memory, blahblahblah

Every time (either radio) I tuned the band and the tuning rate was kind of
fast, TRLog ended up QSYing the log to 10 GHz or some indeterminate band,
usually in the microwave range. Sometimes it would show the band as "NOT"
or something like that. Each time this happened the quickest fix was to
just type in the frequency I was on, to put the log back at the right
place.

I don't have my config file handy, but I tried lowering and raising the
update rate...lowering the update interval seemed to make it better, but
it was tough to tell. Sometimes switching between the two radios caused
the problem as well.

Clearly this isn't the default behavior, so I wonder if any of you have
ever had this problem and what you did to fix it.
