Well, I've spent a lot of time on this and have it working pretty
well. However, I'm trying to enter hex codes from a config file
into the CQ & EX Memories using the <> format newly available in v
6.59 to string a number of CAT commands together to send to the
MkV. It isn't working for me. When I look at a particular
memory, it appears that the strings in the config file are getting
truncated. Only 34 characters appear in the memory. One of the
strings I am trying to send has 256 characters in it (including a
bunch of < and > plus some spaces added for readability).
Yes, I am using v 6.59.
I seem to be able to enter as many characters as I want if I use
ALT-P to get to the memories but I sure don't want to enter 256
characters by hand for every contest. I want to put them in a
config file.
Two questions
1. Have I hit a limit in the number of hex characters that can be
read from a config file using the <> format?
2. If I have, can this limit be changed to accommodate what I
need?
TIA for your help and 73 de Jim Smith VE7FO
