I guess it's time to give some more data regarding my dilemma with this
Dell computer.
The computer is a Dell Dimension 4700 at 3gig, one serial port.
TR version 6.79 (Also get the same results with the free version of TR)
Using the "The Interface People's" SYZYGY 232 test set to monitor line
activity.
Indications are as follows:
Dell Dimension 4700 computer:
TR in RX mode
Serial TD activity
All other lines lights are unlit.
TR sending CW
RTS lit
CTS lit
DTR Blinking (CW)
TR LOOPBACK
RTS lit
DTR lit
CTS lit
No others lit
HP Pavilion Laptop:
TR in RX Mode
Serial TD activity
RTS lit
DTR lit
TR sending CW
RTS lit
DTR blinking (CW)
No others lit
TR Loopback
RTS lit
DTR lit
No others lit
That's about it in the nutshell....
Any help steering me in the right direction would be appreciated.
