This question may be directed toward Kevin, W9CF, although others who are
Winkeyer programmers might be able to help me.

Over a year ago I installed Kevin's earlier 0.49 version on my Xubuntu 20.04
laptop along with a K1EA WKmini. The rig I have been successfully using is a
Ten-Tec Argonaut VI which has keying logic that correctly recognizes what is
coming from the WKmini just fine. I have been successfully using this
combination in QRP Foxhunts and other radio activity.

Today I just received an Elecraft KX3 and am trying to switch over to that
radio and still log and key through TRLog using the WKmini. But now the PTT
kicks in for the duration of the CQ or other message being sent, resulting in
just a steady "tone" and no dots and dashes. I already have PTT ENABLE = FALSE
in the LOGCFG.DAT file.

Is PTT enable/disable one of the pieces not implemented in the simplified
Winkeyer within the Linux versions of TRLog? Am I out of luck in being able
use the new to me KX3 in the manner that I have intended as the new radio
replacing my Argonaut VI (which fortunately I still have while I sort out this
issue, if a fix is even possible). The WKmini, unlike possibly other other
versions of Winkeyer implementations, has Rig 1 as tip, and Rig 2 combined with
PTT on Ring, as the only wiring option, and the KX3 forces one to plug in a
stereo plug only. I already have the KX3 menu setting as HAND keyer, which
works fine with the separate paddle/keyer I have attached through the other
half of a Y splitter.

I tried using a more recent downloaded copy of the 0.55, but immediately ran
into the wrong versions of GLIBC being needed as compared to what is currently
on this LTS 20.04 version of Xubuntu that I am running on my laptop.

Any possible solution? Is there more support for Winkeyers that I am not seeing
with the 0.49 version of TRLog that I have?
