In order to encourage participation in VHF contests, the Lawton VHF
Contesting Club (KO5OK) will provide plaques to the highest 2m score during
the ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes for an Oklahoma station in the following
categories:
Single Operator, High Power (SOHP) - power ( 200 watts
Single Operator, Low Power (SOLP) - power < 200 watts
Single Operator FM Only (SOFO) - all transmissions must use FM simplex
only.
Rover - must operate in at least four Oklahoma grids to be eligible
The rules for the ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes apply as listed on the ARRL
web site: (http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2003/01vhfss.html).
Only electronic logs submitted simultaneously to the ARRL contest branch and
to NL7CO@ARRL.NET will be considered. A station must submit a log to the
ARRL to be considered for a plaque.
If more than 30 Oklahoma stations submit scores, certificates will also be
issued.
All decisions of the awards committee are final. Members of the awards
committee are ineligible for awards.
Winners will be announced on the 25 Feb 03 SWOT Net on 144.250 USB at 2100
local.
