Agree with Bill.......
All of the popular named rotors I have ever owned (CDE, Hygain,
Alliance, Yaesu, Kenpro, etc) all use 24 volt AC motors in the rotor in
conjunction with a motor capacitor switch in to change direction of the
motor through the AC voltage phase delay. I believe only one model of
the Yaesu rotors uses a DC motor.
