I tried a couple of tests w/the bandmap. I found that I had to wait between
30 and 60 seconds to get it back after it was closed. I suspect a timer is
running down somewhere.
If you are running packet, you can try bringing up the new bandmap, remove
all entries (if they are "stacked"), and do a sh/dx/20 on the band of
interest to refill the map.
