Tom,

Sorry for the very late reply. I'm using a 15" Samsung SyncMaster 507S TFT.
I'm quite pleased with it. I believe list price is in the $800 range, but I
got it for somewhat less than that.

What I like the best is that the LCD monitor is much easier on my eyes than
a CRT. It's a great space saver, light and easy to move around and produces
no detectable RFI. This one can be turned 90 degrees (portrait mode) and
comes with software to flip the display. It's great to be able to to see an
entire 8 1/2 x 11 page in Word!

However, there are some drawbacks. The monitor does not work well in any
resolution mode lower than the max (1024 x 768). I've found that the image
just isn't as sharp in lower res modes. The dealer told me this had
something to do with how they integrate the pixles. Also, the brightness and
color are somewhat sensitive to the tilt angle. This isn't a big problem,
but might bug some people. Finally, if you have a lot of ambient sunlight in
the room, the screen may not be as viewable as a CRT.
