Yes, regular intervals, as set in the ini file:
[Configuration]
RigPollInterval=500

The address for the IC-706MKIIG is 48H. These are listed in the HELP files.
Note that this was NOT the default address in the Icom - But it was settable
from the Icom's menu. (It might have been the default of the original
IC-706...? Anyway, it works great!
I use the CT-17 for the Icom.
