When connecting serial port of Desktop computer with Windows 98 to Kenwood
IF232C I can control and read my TS850 VFO A frequency and mode.
When connecting serial port of IBM thinkpad laptop with Windows NT to Kenwood
IF232C I can not control or read my TS850 VFO A frequency and mode.
I used the same Writelog port setup in both cases. Desktop computer works
while Writelog says No Rig! on IBM thinkpad with Windows NT. The two
computers are right next to each other so it is easy to swap the serial port
cable.
