With all the keys, mics and voice keyers on my operating desk that are
attached to something with wires, I found the Logitech Cordless TrackMan
Wheel (P/N 804359-0000) to be a great shack accessory. It's basically a
wireless optical trackball with a scrolling wheel between the usual
buttons. The single AA battery last at least four months with very
frequent use and the device has never been affected by the 1500 watt linear
6" away from it. I keep the receiver about 1-1/2 feet away but the "mouse"
has a range of over 10 feet.

I can't stand conventional "mice" because I have a cluttered desk and
because I'm used to a trackball, I find it more responsive than a touch pad
and I think everyone agrees that those little erasers that stick out of
laptops are the pits.
