I discussed 2R MMTTY with ES7AAZ a while ago.

In the MMTY setup, on the Misc page, you can select the audio
channel (left/right) and a unique ID.

When selecting two distinct IDs, Riho could work 2 radio MMTTY
on one of his machines but not a second one. I could not get it
working at all. On my Dell Notebook the last one wins, i.e.
when I start the second MMTTY (as plug-in or stand-alone does
not matter), there is no sound on the first MMTTY.

Try for yourself if it works for you, but in general I guess it
won't work.

I asked Carsten if I could forward his reply below to the group.

Since his message I have upgraded FlashBIOS to A13.
Also insured I had the latest audio driver. Running Win98. Using the
NeoMagic Audio Chip.
Sound board checker says it will do two radio wrtty.

Which now works - it does do two radio with rttyrite.

However it will not put up two MMTTY plug-in screens (one on left & one on
right).

Should it be able to do this or is that the way it
is?????????????????????????????????????????

PS: sure glad the leakers are done.....
PSS: on the SSB SO2R issue it is doomed due to mic mute problem.

Robert,

first, which OS are you running? I own a Latitude 3500 which is from the
same period I think. Does yours also have the NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV
Audio chip?

When I got mine it had Win98SE installed and I think it didn't get the
full score but I can't remember exactly. I am now running Win 2000 on it
and it scores 7f. Unfortunately I have some background noise (whistle)
regularly, so I didn't try it on air yet.

Getting the latest BIOS for your machine might also help especially if
you have A01 only.

Sorry I cannot give you more specific help.

All the best for 2002.

Dell Laptop - Latitude CPi R400GT
BIOS Version: A01
get a score of 77 on the sound board check.

Says "writelog failed to find a mic mute switch on the output mixer. It
will not be possible to automatically route your mic through your sound
board."

Everything else reads OK, no problem with so2R on WinRTTY.

Is this it? I have downloaded latest audio driver from Dell web page
and installed.

Is this laptop doomed for no SSB so2r ?
