Thanks to everyone who replied - the problem was in the
address setup in my IC-706...it's supposed to be on
48H - I guess I made one more flip of the dial when
I set it, and it was on 49H!! I flipped it back and
bingo - it all works.
I knew I had to be close since I the frequency set up
window showed that I had rig control established on
one COM port.
I think they call this "Operator Error"...
